Rumors suggested that Manchester United was targeting Lazio goalkeeper Chrīstos Mandas, but it is now reported that Manchester City is actually interested in the 22-year-old Greek goalkeeper. The club has already made contact with Mandas’ representatives, but Lazio’s initial plan was to send him out on loan. A meeting to discuss extending Mandas’ contract until 2029 is expected in the coming weeks.
Mandas joined Lazio only recently and performed well in his limited appearances. Manchester City may need to pay a significant transfer fee if they pursue Mandas due to his rising stock and favorable contractual situation.
