Manchester City are interested in RB Leipzig and Spain international Dani Olmo this summer, following his impressive performance at the European Championships. Despite a €60 million release clause in his contract earlier this month, no club has triggered it and negotiations may now begin. Manchester City has not yet made an official offer for the midfielder, but they are monitoring the situation closely.
While Manchester City is keeping an eye on Olmo, Barcelona is also reportedly interested in signing him, with RB Leipzig feeling that the La Liga giants are ahead in the race. Bayern Munich also reportedly has Olmo on their transfer shortlist. If Manchester City decides to pursue Olmo, their previous successful negotiation with Leipzig for Josko Gvardiol could work in their favor.
Manchester City worked with RB Leipzig last summer to sign Josko Gvardiol, who has since become a key player under Pep Guardiola. Gvardiol is now part of City’s first-team squad, preparing for the new season. Although City has not made a move for Olmo yet, they may consider revising their strategy and potentially entering negotiations with Leipzig for the Spanish midfielder.
