Manchester City keen on old target, official sent – Guardiola’s side not giving up despite rejection

Manchester City were keen on signing Konstantinos Karetsas before he joined KRC Genk from Anderlecht in 2023.
Last year, Karetsas’ father confirmed Manchester City, RB Leipzig and AC Milan had invited the 18-year-old “several times”. However, they rejected these clubs in order to join Genk.
Fast forward to November 2025 and Manchester City are now back in the mix for their old target.
That’s according to Het Laatste Nieuws, who indicate the past rejection hasn’t put off the Citizens.
It’s claimed Manchester City were one of 23 clubs to have sent their scouts to the Cegeka Arena to watch Karetsas live in action on Thursday.
He played the full 90 minutes in Genk’s 2-1 win over FC Basel in the Europa League. The…
