Manchester City is reportedly already considering potential replacements for Kevin De Bruyne as the Belgian midfielder nears the end of his playing career. While De Bruyne is expected to remain with the squad for the upcoming season, talks have been circulating about his next move beyond Manchester City. Options such as a move to Saudi Arabia or Major League Soccer have been considered for the 33-year-old.
One potential replacement being considered by Manchester City is Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala. There has been discussion within the Etihad Stadium about signing Musiala as the successor to De Bruyne. However, given Musiala’s impressive performances for Bayern Munich and his desire to play for a team competing for the Champions League title, the likelihood of him leaving the Bundesliga club remains uncertain.
Despite initial reports of Manchester City’s interest in Musiala, there has been no significant movement in recruitment around the role, with Pep Guardiola indicating that no further signings may be made. The only incoming activity for City this summer has been the signing of Savinho, a Brazilian winger. The club will continue to work on securing a suitable replacement for De Bruyne as they plan for the future of their midfield.
