Pep Guardiola has confirmed Kevin De Bruyne has returned to full first-team training with the Manchester City squad today, and is ‘getting better’
The Belgian playmaker has been nursing a hamstring injury, which he picked up in City 2-0 win over Aston Villa on January 20th.
Guardiola, when questioned about De Bruynes availability in the press conference ahead of Everton game, the Spaniard revealed his condition has improved significantly.
“[He’s] getting better,” said the manager at his pre-match press conference.
“Really getting better. Today he did all training with the group, with all of us. He’s much better.
With the return of De Bruyne, Guardiola has a potential selection headache for the upcoming games. His absence was not felt since then- the Cityzens have won all seven games since then, with midfielder Ilkay Gundogan in red hot form.
Despite De Bruyne hasn’t yet found his goalscoring form this season, he has still manage has racked up ten assists in the league campaign, with only Harry Kane assisting more than him.
His return to fitness will be a massive boost to Manchester City’s premier league tittle challenge as the Champions league.
In reactions to the news shared on twitter by City Xtra, many Skyblues have been expressing their thoughts and opinions with all delighted with the return of the Belgian.
