Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have announced their squad for a four-match tour of the United States, with friendlies scheduled against Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea. The tour will help City prepare for the upcoming season, where they will compete in the UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup, aiming to win a fifth consecutive Premier League title.
The matches will take place in various cities along the east coast, beginning with a game against Celtic at the Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill. Notable players like Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, and Ederson will be part of the squad, while new signing Savinho will miss out due to his involvement in the Copa America. Most players who featured in the Copa America or European Championship will also miss the tour.
The confirmed travelling squad includes goalkeepers Ederson, Ortega, and Carson, defenders like Lewis and Mbete, midfielders including Wright and Phillips, and forwards like Haaland and Grealish. Additional players may join the squad later on. The tour will provide valuable experience for both established stars and City Football Academy prospects.
