The English press had already reported Manchester City’s interest in Wesley. However, Brazilian outlets have now added important details to the story and clarified where the situation stands.
According to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, Manchester City have made direct contact to assess the conditions of a possible deal in this window. That movement places City ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, who are also credited with interest but have not gone beyond monitoring.
