Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated that the club will not be making a significant number of new signings in the summer due to financial constraints. The only confirmed signing so far is Savinho from Troyes, with potential interest in more recruits especially in the midfield.

Despite the need for potentially more than two signings, Guardiola emphasized the importance of not making wholesale changes to the squad in one transfer window. Financial issues have prevented the club from acquiring some players in the past, leading to a longer list of unsuccessful recruitments compared to successful ones.

During the pre-season tour in the United States, Manchester City is focusing on giving opportunities to youth academy talents. The club has upcoming matches against AC Milan, FC Barcelona, and Chelsea as part of their preparation for the upcoming season, with Guardiola looking to make the most of the resources available to him.
