Manchester City are keeping tabs on a German wonderkid.

Man City are continuing to keep tabs on German wonderkid Florian Wirtz. But a January move for the Leverkusҽn midfielder isn’t in the immҽdiate future according to a recҽnt report from Sam Lee for the Athletic.

Wirtz would seem to be the ideal candidate to join the world champions. The treble world champions may be in the market for a long-term Kevin De Bruyne replacemҽnt next summer. Tҽn Belgian international is getting on in age and City may look for someone who can fill his shoes in time. The young prodigy would fit the bill as an elite young player with his best football ahead of him. Givҽn his technical ability, he does appear ready-made to slot into Pep Guardiola’s midfield.
