Manchester City and Aston Villa, both managed by Unai Emery and Pep Guardiola respectively, are looking to bolster their squad with a new left-back in the upcoming transfer window. The left-back position has been performing well for Manchester City this season with Nathan Ake and Josko Gvardiol rotating effectively.
Gvardiol has particularly impressed in recent matches, contributing defensively and offensively by scoring important goals against top teams like Real Madrid. Manchester City is now looking for a new left-back to enhance the squad and maintain their high standing in European football. They are targeting Brest left-back Bradley Locko, who is valued at £25 million and has caught the eye of scouts from both Manchester City and Aston Villa.
Locko, considered one of the best attacking defenders in Europe, has had a successful season in Ligue 1 with three assists from 35 appearances. Manchester City’s current left-back options are limited, with no natural left-backs in their squad apart from Ake and Gvardiol. Their last natural left-back, Benjamin Mendy, has since moved back to Ligue 1, leaving City in need of reinforcement in that position.
