Manchester City have set an asking price of around €30 million (£25.1 million) for Yan Couto if Borussia Dortmund wants to sign the defender this summer. Dortmund is in need of reinforcement in the right-back position, and Couto, who has impressed during a loan stint at Girona, fits the bill. While Dortmund is willing to pay between €20-25 million, City is holding out for a higher fee, hoping to generate funds for further investments in the transfer market.
Couto, who is just 22 years old, possesses the technical ability and attacking prowess that would suit the Bundesliga style of play. Despite Dortmund’s initial offer falling short of City’s valuation, it is believed that an additional £4 million investment should not deter the German club from completing the deal. City is eager to offload Couto quickly to free up funds for new signings, and Dortmund appears keen on securing the Brazilian right-back.
With Manchester City looking to capitalize on Couto’s potential sale to strengthen their squad, Borussia Dortmund remains interested in acquiring the young defender. The negotiation process between the two clubs is ongoing, with City holding firm on their asking price while Dortmund is willing to meet the majority of it. The deal, if finalized, could benefit both clubs as they seek to bolster their respective squads ahead of the upcoming season.
