Manchester City suffered a blow when midfielder Rodri was ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury. Reports emerged linking City with a January transfer move for a replacement, with Samuele Ricci identified as a potential target. However, Ricci failed to impress in a recent match for Torino against Inter Milan, with only 27 touches, nine completed passes, and no tackles or interceptions. His performance earned him a low match rating of 6.3/10, possibly decreasing his chances of City making a move for him.

While City had scouts watching Ricci, his lackluster performance against Inter may have hindered his chances of impressing the club. The midfielder’s unimpressive stats and low match rating could make City reconsider their interest in him as a potential transfer target.
