Manchester City and Arsenal are both interested in signing Dinamo Tbilisi forward Vakhtang Salia, who is considered one of the most promising young talents in football. Salia, who is only 16 years old, has already begun to make an impact at the senior level and has caught the attention of several top clubs in Europe.
Salia made his first team debut for Tbilisi at the end of last season and has since become a regular starter, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists in 6 appearances. In addition to City and Arsenal, other clubs like Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Manchester United are also monitoring his progress. Clubs from mainland Europe, such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and PSG, have also shown interest in the young forward.
If Salia were to join Manchester City, he could follow in the footsteps of another Georgian talent, Georgi Kinkladze. Kinkladze was one of the best players Georgia ever produced, while more recently, Napoli’s Kvhicha Kvaratskelia has emerged as a superstar after making his breakthrough at Tbilisi. The competition to secure Salia’s signature is fierce, and it remains to be seen if he can replicate Kvaratskhelia’s success at a high-profile European club.
