Manchester City is reportedly interested in signing Wolves winger Pedro Neto, with Julian Alvarez expected to join Atletico Madrid. However, fans are against the move, citing concerns over Neto’s injury record and the abundance of wingers already in the squad. Neto has had two serious injuries during his time at Wolves and spent significant time out with hamstring injuries last season.
With Wolves demanding around £60m for Neto, City fans believe the club would be taking a big gamble by signing him. Additionally, Neto is seen as a wide player rather than a centre-forward, which means he would not directly replace Alvarez. Pep Guardiola already has a number of wingers at his disposal, including Jeremy Doku, Jack Grealish, Savinho, and Oscar Bobb, leaving fans questioning the need for another addition in that position.
Overall, City fans are not in favor of signing Neto due to concerns over his injury history, the high transfer fee demanded by Wolves, and the surplus of wingers already in the squad. They believe that the focus should be on adding a midfielder rather than another wide player, making Neto an unnecessary addition to the team.
