Atletico Madrid offered Portuguese international Joao Felix to Manchester City on loan with an option to buy. This offer was included in Atletico’s bid for Julian Alvarez, along with cash. However, City rejected the proposal as they have been asking for as much as £95m for Alvarez. Felix’s star has fallen in recent years after struggling to fulfill his potential since Atletico paid £113m for him five years ago.

Felix has agitated for a move and had unsuccessful loan spells at Chelsea and Barcelona. City is unlikely to be interested in signing him, even though Atletico is open to transferring him. The focus remains on Alvarez, with Atletico making efforts to buy him despite competition from clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain. City is reluctant to offload Alvarez but a transfer could happen if the club’s demands are met, as Atletico’s latest bid of €75m is still below his asking price.

City rejected Atletico’s proposal to include Joao Felix in a deal for Julian Alvarez, as they value Alvarez at around £95m. Felix’s struggles since his expensive transfer to Atletico five years ago have made him an unappealing target for City. The club is focused on retaining Alvarez, despite interest from other clubs, and a transfer could still happen if Atletico meets City’s demands. City remains uninterested in acquiring Felix, who is currently training with Atletico but is available for transfer.
