Man City’s rising star, Oscar Bobb, is currently in discussions for a new contract with the club, according to sources at Football Insider. The 20-year-old has been making a name for himself at the Etihad Stadium this season under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.
Bobb recently scored a crucial goal against Newcastle and earned his first Premier League start in the match against Brentford. Negotiations for a “big-money” deal are said to be at an advanced stage for the talented Norway international, with all parties eager to finalize the agreement soon.
The young forward’s current contract is set to expire in June 2026. Having joined Man City’s youth system in 2019, Bobb made his senior debut in September and has since appeared in 16 matches across different competitions, contributing two goals and two assists.
In addition to his club success, Bobb also made his senior international debut for Norway in October 2023 and scored his first goal in a friendly against the Faroe Islands just a month later. He follows in the footsteps of other academy talents like Phil Foden, Rico Lewis, and the departed Cole Palmer who have successfully transitioned to the first team under Guardiola.
Man City, currently in second place in the Premier League, trail league leaders Liverpool by four points but have a game in hand. In related news, Guardiola has reportedly identified the only Man United player he believes could make the cut at Man City.
