Manchester City fans have taken to social media to show their delight on the return of rising academy forward Samuel Edozie to first-team training this week.
The 19 year-old exciting academy winger was one of the stars of pre-season, building on a good campaign last season with City’s academy sides.
The London-born winger, who scored three goals in pre-season, made his first competitive appearance for Pep Guardiola’s senior set-up at the very start of the ongoing campaign, during the Community Shield defeat to Leicester City at Wembley.
However, things failed to pan out as expected, as the gifted winger announced via social media in November that he had suffered a leg injury that would keep him out of action until 2022.
According to Manchester Evening News, Samuel Edozie has returned to Man City first-team training after three-month spell out on the sidelines.
He would be a surprise inclusion in the squad to face Sporting, but his return is a big positive.
As the news broke on Twitter, Many Man City fans could not hold their delight at the return of their young superstar.

It’s a very hard position to get into the Man City team with. I think he looked class in pre season but would still put him below Palmer, McAtee, Kayky and Delap plus all the first teamers. He’s gonna have to perform very well in the limited time he gets given to him
