Manchester City, known for selling players for high transfer fees, have shown interest in re-signing striker Liam Delap, who they sold to Ipswich Town in the previous summer transfer window. Despite several clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Aston Villa also eyeing Delap, Ipswich could ask for £40m to sell him even in January. Delap, who has excelled with four goals in eight league games for Ipswich, has been described as having a ‘point to prove’ by former player Darren Bent, who praised his performances as ‘brilliant’.
