Manchester City and Real Madrid are both interested in hiring Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso as a possible replacement for their current coaches. Sebastian Hoeness and Sandro Wagner are reportedly being considered as potential replacements for Alonso. Despite initial speculation, it is now possible that Guardiola may choose to extend his contract with City for one more year, according to journalist David Ornstein.
While City and Real Madrid have expressed interest in Alonso, it is still unclear if Guardiola will remain with City or if Ancelotti will continue at Real Madrid. Both clubs are exploring their options and considering potential successors for their current head coaches.
