Arsenal’s new player Riccardo Calafiori has revealed that he models his game after Manchester City’s John Stones, whom he considers his reference and closest style of play. Calafiori spoke highly of Stones’ influence on his game, crediting Bologna coach Thiago Motta for guiding him into a similar role as the English defender.
John Stones is praised for his versatility on the field, able to play in various positions due to his technical abilities honed under Pep Guardiola’s management at Manchester City. Stones’ evolution as a player under Guardiola has been noted, with his skillset expanding to fulfill different roles in the team when needed.

It is speculated that Arsenal may move Calafiori back to his original fullback position, and his performance in the Premier League remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Stones has established himself as one of the top center-backs in the country during his time at Manchester City.
