Graeme Souness, a former Liverpool player and manager, believes that Liverpool will not beat Manchester City or Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season. Souness stated that Arsenal and Manchester City are better teams than Liverpool, despite Liverpool’s impressive start to the season with three wins in their first three games, including a victory against Manchester United.
Souness predicts that the Premier League title race will be a two-horse race between Manchester City and Arsenal, with City currently leading the way in the league standings. Pep Guardiola’s side have started the season strongly, scoring 9 goals and conceding just 2 in their first three fixtures. Despite concerns about a slow start, City have won all their competitive fixtures in August, including the Community Shield against Manchester United.
City’s first league fixture against Liverpool will take place at the end of November, with the return fixture at City’s home ground set for late February. This matchup will be an important one in determining the title race, as Arsenal and City are expected to be Liverpool’s main competitors for the Premier League crown this season.
