Manchester City have only made one new signing in the summer transfer window, bringing in Savinho from Troyes. The 20-year-old had a successful loan spell at Girona last season, scoring nine goals and providing 10 assists in 37 La Liga games. City have also been reportedly interested in Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, valued at €120m, with talks taking place between the club and the Brazilian. While a move this summer seems unlikely, Rodrygo could significantly strengthen City’s attacking power if he were to join the Etihad Stadium in the future.
Since joining Real Madrid in 2019, Rodrygo has played 217 senior games, scoring 54 goals and providing 41 assists. Despite being happy at Real Madrid, a potential move to City might appeal to him, especially with Real Madrid’s rumored interest in Erling Haaland. The addition of Rodrygo to City’s attack would be a significant boost, as suggested by Sergio Aguero, who believes the Brazilian is a better attacker than Julian Alvarez, who recently left City for Atletico Madrid in a £81m deal.
