Manchester City fans have unsurprisingly reacted in their numbers after quotes from winger Jayden Braaf during a Q&A session on his Snapchat were relayed on social media.
The 18-year-old, who joined from PSV Eindhoven two seasons ago, has quickly established himself as one of the top prospects in the City academy.
But It was reported by the Manchester Evening News in the last few months that there was a breakdown in communication between the club and the winger that has led to his future lying away from the Etihad Stadium.
According to the Daily Mail, Jayden Braaf is now claimed to be – with ‘initial discussions‘ over a move understood to be underway.
The Mail claimed last month that £8million-rated Braaf was a target for Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen. Over the past few weeks, there have been several reports linking the player with Borussia Dortmund as well.
However, During a Q&A session published on his Snapchat story on Thursday night, Braaf reiterated his desire to remain at the City Football Academy despite claims that he was in initial discussions with Bundesliga clubs.
When asked about whether he is happy at Manchester City, the teenage winger said, “I’m very happy at City.”
On whether he is leaving the club, the 18-year-old said, “Nooooooo…”. And on whether his future is at the Etihad or not, he said, “I hope so…”
Some Manchester City supporters reacted to the comment made by the winger on Twitter, with some fairly mixed responses. Here is some of that reactions below.
That’s good!! Hopefully he gets called up soon on the first team!

He just needs to sort his attitude out he clearly wants to be here

Give him a chance pep. He is still young and attitude doesn’t matter. Neymar is 29 and acts like a baby

He should be loaned to gain experience. Right now there is no way he is getting game time here at city

Braaf was our U23s POTY at only 17 last season! Pep HAS to start him in the upcoming FA cup game/s.

He is saying the right thing but i do not think he is happy for one minute. He will leave and thrive. The German clubs are smart and are like vultures circling. Hate to see our youth players and really good ones leave. Like Sancho he will bite us. It sucks. I blame City.

It seems lots of city Mancunian base fans disappointed that Braaf is staying and didn’t swear at Fernandinho
