Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says Sergio Aguero is “a few weeks” from being ready to play as the Argentina striker recovers from coronavirus.
The City’s record goalscorer is back in training after self-isolating having first come in close contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus before falling ill with the COVID himself.
The 32-year-old has now come out of quarantine after testing negative for the virus but he has not yet restarted full training.
Guardiola said at a press conference: “He is still not training on the field. He started to move a little yesterday but he will need a few weeks to come back.
“He is negative, this is the most important thing. He is healthy again and now he will come back again. As the top scorer it is important for us to have him back.”

I don’t understand how this has baffled so many people. Aguero always needs a few weeks of training to get back sharp enough to be match fit. He was never going to jump straight back into the team the instant he tested negative
