Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Real Madrid are hesitant about signing Erling Haaland due to his injury record and his very high wages.
It’s more than evident that Real Madrid are on course to finding a new centre-forward. And while several names have been linked, the one that stands out is a certain Manchester City forward Erling Haaland.
However, according to what Jose Felix Diaz has written for MARCA, it has been revealed that the team from the Spanish capital city is not really contemplating the idea of signing the Norweigian because of his poor track record with regard to his injuries.
And, the other issue that is discouraging Real Madrid is his high salary, which according to reports from England is around €1 million per week. This figure is something that the La Liga champions are not looking to sanction for anyone in the future.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.

“Oh yeah spread this ‘high salary and injury prone’ narrative because the media are too salty to understand that Haaland chose little old city over the media favourites. we’re not in 1980s anymore, City are one of the biggest clubs in the world and people need to understand that.”

“Marca changes version every day on Hãaland: Hãaland was afraid of being a substitute at Real Madrid that’s why he went to City. Given the exceptional level of Benzema, Real made sure that Hãaland put a clause in his contract to sign him in 2024”
