Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Erling Haaland has heard that his arrival could confirm Pep Guardiola staying at the club for longer.

The Norway sensation is now thought to be edging ever closer to an Etihad Stadium move as a plethora of reliable reports back that City are the overwhelming favourites.

The addition of Haaland would give an all-new look to Guardiola’s already star-studded squad and may just give him the motivation he needs to commit to a new deal and stay for even longer in Manchester.

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has relayed his own information on the latest rumours – with one key point made.

According to the Journalist via a Twitter thread, Man City have agreed personal terms with Erling Haaland and that the Borussia Dortmund striker is favouring a move to Manchester.

He went further and claimed that Erling Haaland has heard that his arrival at Man City could confirm Pep Guardiola staying at the club for longer.

The Spaniard is contracted at the Etihad Stadium until 2023 and could extend that, but expects to work elsewhere at some point in the future.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
