Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez has reportedly demanded a transfer away from the club and rejected a contract offer at the end of last season. The 24-year-old is seeking more consistent game-time and his preferred destination is rumored to be Real Madrid, although there is interest from other clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

Alvarez has mentioned his comfort and happiness at Manchester City but reports from Spain claim that he has now requested to leave the club. He rejected an improved contract and an extension, instead asking for a ‘logical selling price’ to enable a move elsewhere in Europe. Despite these reports, there has been no formal request to leave the Etihad Stadium so far.

If Alvarez does leave City, the club will be looking for a suitable replacement in the transfer market. While the focus remains on midfield recruits, they may also need to find a new striker if the Argentine departs. Etihad Stadium bosses are expected to address the situation in the remaining weeks of the summer transfer window.
