Manchester City signed Savinho from Troyes as their first summer transfer window signing, but they have been linked with several other players across Europe. Journalist Dean Jones claimed on the Ranks FC Ultras podcast that RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo could still be a possible target for City, despite an asking price of €60m. Although City have not made an offer for Olmo, Jones believes they have a firm interest in the player and have no doubts about his quality, although they may have concerns about his injury record.
While there were reports of City sending an offer for Olmo, journalist Florian Plettenberg stated that this was not the case, but City are monitoring the situation closely. It appears that City are not in a rush to sign Olmo, even though they are interested in the player. With Jones stating that there is still a chance for Olmo to join City, the transfer saga could potentially go down to the wire. Olmo, who had a strong performance in the recent European Championship, could follow Savinho to Manchester City if a deal is reached.
