The potential replacements for Erling Haaland include Phil Foden, James McAtee, and Gundogan, showing City’s depth in attacking options.
Reports suggest that Man City are unlikely to sign either Kyogo Furuhashi or Orri Oskarsson as backups for Haaland. The decision-makers at the club seem content with their current squad, with players like Foden, Gundogan, and McAtee capable of playing as false nines if needed. The absence of Alvarez, who had been a reliable backup number nine, may not be a major concern given the versatility and skill of City’s current players. With no urgent need for panic buys, it appears that City will not pursue Furuhashi or Oskarsson this summer, focusing instead on the strength of their existing squad.
