Journalist Duncan Castles suggests that City midfielder Rodri may be interested in joining Real Madrid in the future, with Florentino Perez keen on signing him next year.
Rodri, who currently earns £220,000 a week at City, has no reason to leave a successful club like City for a move to Real Madrid. His influence on City’s success, including winning league titles and a treble, makes a move less appealing. While the allure of playing for Real Madrid may be strong, Rodri’s commitment to City and the chance to work with Pep Guardiola should outweigh any potential move to Spain.
