Manchester City, fresh off winning four consecutive Premier League trophies, have been making changes and preparing for the upcoming 2024/25 season. The team recently completed a pre-season tour of America, playing matches against Celtic, AC Milan, and Barcelona. Meanwhile, journalist Dan Kilpatrick suggested on the Transfer Talk podcast that Tottenham Hotspur’s strategy to potentially challenge City involves signing young players like Archie Gray rather than more experienced names, possibly waiting for Guardiola to leave City before mounting a serious title challenge.

Tottenham Hotspur, under manager Ange Postecoglou, finished fifth in the Premier League last season, winning 20 games and scoring 74 goals. While Spurs aim to challenge for the title, Guardiola’s status at City remains uncertain, and it is not guaranteed that he will leave at the end of the season. Therefore, instead of focusing too much on City, it may be more beneficial for Spurs to concentrate on improving themselves and their own performance in the upcoming season.
