Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are both predicting a high-scoring game between Manchester City and Manchester United this Sunday.

Carragher believes that City will most certainly score three goals, citing their past performances against United and manager Erik ten Hag’s team. In the last four meetings between Guardiola and ten Hag’s sides, City has outscored their opponents 12-6.

Despite a couple of games where City fell short of scoring three goals, including a controversial defeat to United last season, Carragher still expects them to dominate in terms of goals.

“It’s impossible for City to score less than three”, he said during the latest episode of The Overlap’s Stick To Football.

“You can’t score less than three in that game.”

He specifically pointed to Erling Haaland’s impressive record against United, with the Norwegian star scoring five goals in four appearances against them.

Haaland’s presence and United’s leaky defense, which has conceded the second-most shots in the Premier League this season, further support Carragher’s prediction of a goal fest for City.

With City coming off a confidence-boosting 6-2 victory over Luton Town in the FA Cup, the stage is set for a potentially high-scoring affair at the Etihad Stadium.

Neville also echoed Carragher’s sentiments, predicting a 3-0 win for City. The two football legends are not alone in their predictions, as many fans and pundits expect City to come out on top against their Manchester rivals.

As the anticipation builds for the highly anticipated match, all eyes will be on City’s potent attack and United’s defense to see if Carragher and Neville’s predictions come true. The stage is set for an exciting and potentially goal-filled showdown between these two historic clubs.
