Manchester City, under the management of Pep Guardiola, have achieved significant success, including reaching 100 points in a Premier League season, winning four domestic trophies in one campaign, and becoming the first team to lift four consecutive top-flight titles. Ian Wright, a former top-flight star, has suggested that the club could aim for an invincible season, going unbeaten in the Premier League. This achievement, which has only been accomplished by Arsenal in the 2003/04 season, would see City make more history and potentially crush Arsenal supporters.
Guardiola, now in his ninth season at Manchester City, has expressed interest in pursuing an invincible run, as breaking their own record of consecutive title wins does not interest him as much. The closest City have come to an unbeaten season was in the 2017/18 campaign when they lost only two games on the way to securing 100 points. With the form City are currently in, going invincible this season could be a major goal for the club and could further cement their place in football history.
