Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s potential move to the Etihad.
Guardiola is desperate to find a reliable centre-back partner for Aymeric Laporte and has identified the 29-year-old as a priority signing.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport report today via Sport Witness, Manchester City can close a deal for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly at €75m this summer, although his fate is unlikely to be decided until they’re done with the Champions League.
While Gazzetta_it via CalcioNapoli24 claims 75M could be enough for City to complete a move for the Senegalese defender. The Citizens could increase their offer to €70M, but not immediately.
Pep Guardiola and co are moving slowly and only when they’re done with the Champions League will the ‘marathon’ for Koulibaly come to life.

I want a guy who is 100% sure that he wants to join us. Jorginho agreed personal terms too. That’s Napoli.— insidejoker (@travisscott5555) July 25, 2020

I think that the deal will collapse and we will buy Diego Carlos.— insidejoker (@travisscott5555) July 25, 2020
“This already feels like one of those ongoing possible transfers that never ends up happening”, claimed one fan.
while another tweeted, “I have a really bad feeling about this transfer, I just feel like it’s going to get to the stage where the whole thing just falls apart but I really do hope this happens it would be an amazing signing”
Another tweet said: “Folks, if the deal doesn’t happen I wouldn’t see it as the deal collapsing but more of Koulibaly wants to stay. He’s willing to go with what the directors want, but his wish is to stay and retire at Napoli. It probably wouldn’t be City’s fault. You can spend €75M easy.”
