However, Manchester City’s sporting director Hugo Viana is already planning for a potential future without Haaland by identifying Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres as his long-term successor if Haaland joins Real Madrid. Gyokeres has been in impressive form this season, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists in 12 games for Sporting CP.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Haaland’s future and the potential interest from Real Madrid, Hugo Viana is prioritizing the signing of Gyokeres for Manchester City. The Swedish striker has been a revelation for Sporting CP, showcasing his talent and goalscoring ability in both domestic and Champions League matches. If Gyokeres does decide to leave Sporting CP, he is expected to have several top clubs, including Manchester City, vying for his services, with a reported transfer fee of €100 million required to secure his signature.
