The Premier League title race is heating up as Manchester City competes with Liverpool and Arsenal for the top position. Having not experienced defeat since the new year, Manchester City has made considerable progress in the Premier League.
The team’s match against Brentford was previously postponed due to their participation in the Club World Cup in December, but they have since played their game on hand and emerged victorious. Consequently, all three teams are now level, with 25 games played each.
Currently, Liverpool is leading the table with 57 points, closely followed by Manchester City with 56 points, and Arsenal with 55 points. Despite dropping points in a draw against Chelsea, Manchester City has the potential to retake the top spot.
With City’s next five fixtures involving matches against Bournemouth, Manchester United, and Liverpool, the team is expected to face some tough competition.
Liverpool, on the other hand, has a relatively easy run, playing against some of the league’s bottom five teams, with three of the matches taking place at home. Meanwhile, Arsenal will face Newcastle and Chelsea before meeting Manchester City.
Man City’s next five fixtures
- Bournemouth (A) – February 24
- Manchester United (H) – March 3

The Premier League title race has certainly reached an exciting phase, with every point and fixture holding the potential to change the standings. Manchester City’s upcoming games and their performance in those matches will determine if they can overtake Liverpool and reclaim the top spot.
