Manchester City are on a quest for more silverware in the 2024/25 season, with an unbeaten record in the Premier League after eight games. The team is aiming to secure the Carabao Cup, FA Cup, and Champions League, adding more accolades to their trophy cabinet. Kyle Walker, a key player in previous trophy victories, is reportedly considering his future at City due to limited game time this season, with talks of a potential sale in the summer to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli. City is unwilling to discuss a contract extension for Walker, preferring to sell him for financial reasons.
Walker, in his eighth season with City, has started only four of seven matches this season across all competitions. The 34-year-old missed a recent match due to illness after his time with the England national team. To convince Guardiola and the club to keep him beyond this season, Walker may need to prove his worth on the field. City’s financial interests may lead them to selling Walker in the summer rather than risk losing him as a free agent in 2026.
