Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne is planning for life at the Etihad with Bernardo Silva this season despite strong interest from Barcelona in the transfer window.
Bernardo Silva featured as a substitute in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday as rumours continue to swirl over whether he will will leave the club in the transfer window.
He is a firm fan favourite at the Etihad and received a rousing reception when he emerged from the bench against Bournemouth on Saturday. Fans sang his name for what seemed like an eternity.
later after the match that upon the final whistle Bernardo Silva applauded all four stands inside the Etihad, and was the last of City’s players to depart the pitch – He then handed his shirt over to a fan.
Some thought he was waving farewell to Manchester City but Kevin De Bruyne was not one of them.
“I think he’s very loved [by us] and he knows,” said De Bruyne.
“The way that I see it, I think that he will be here so there’s nothing that I’m worried about. Whatever happens he is great for us and I expect him to be here with us this year.”
These De Bruyne’s comments were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
