Gary Neville has lavished praise upon Manchester City superstar Jack Grealish after his recent performances.
The England international, who was joined Man City for a record £100 million (Sky Sports)had made a slow start to this season after last season’s campaign and injury.
But the 27-year-old winger has returned to his best against Young Boys and in the derby win over Manchester United.
While some believe Grealish showcased his worth during the treble-winning season, others believed he will never be able to justify the fee.
Speaking on the Webby & O’Neill YouTube show Neville was full of praise for Grealish. He said “City paid £100 million for Jack Grealish and they ended up winning a treble with him in season two. Now, to be fair, his numbers aren’t unbelievable in terms of assists and goals. But when you look at his performance level, you look at him on Sunday out on that pitch, he’s a bloody good player.”
Gary Neville continued to laud Jack Grealish, saying, “You might not think he’s £100 million but I tell you, he’s a hell of a player. His way in which he can take the ball, passes it, looks after it, wins fouls, takes people on, he’s a good player, Jack Grealish. Whether you like it he’s a £100 million or don’t like he’s £100 million, he fits into City’s style of play.”
Branded as ‘phenomenal’ by Stephen Clemence, Jack Grealish will be looking to continue his scintillating form this weekend as the Premier League champions host Bournemouth on Saturday.
