Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Valencia have rejected a low-ball offer from Manchester City Valencia winger Ferran Torres.

Ferran, whose current contract ends in June 2021 is apparently top of Pep Guardiola’s wish list in terms of potential reinforcements in wide attacking positions.

The 20-year-old is widely expected to seal a move to the Etihad this summer, with all parties concerned eager for the deal to go through.

According to a report from Eurosport, Manchester City have agreed personal terms with Torres as the player’s representatives met with City earlier in the week.

All that is left now is for City to agree a fee with Valencia, but Superdeporte via OneFootball are reporting that Despite several days of ‘tug-of-war’, there is still no agreement between Man City and Valencia for Ferran Torres.

Valencia are reportedly unhappy with City’s first bid of €15m which is well short of the LaLiga club’s €30-45m demands, and they can hold firm given he has an €80m release clause.

The Citizens have offered Yangel Herrera (22) who is current on loan in Granada on a permanent deal, which could ‘change things’.

Negotiations are set to continue between the clubs, with the Citizens aware of Valencia’s poor bargaining position.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

“I wouldn’t include Yangel tbh, he’s been balling in La Liga and his value could double/triple if he has a good season next year as well. I’d rather just pay the fee, maybe even recall Yangel, and sell him elsewhere to offset the transfer”, claimed one fan.

while another asked, “So the deal is on the verge of getting collapsed?”

while another tweeted, “Torres already agreed to join City. Valencia has no choice but to let him go. City play hardball and they should. But 20m for Torres must be the definition of daylight robbery. Normally a player like him would cost 50-60m”.

Another tweet said:”We all know what will happen at the end: we either pay up and all this haggling would have been for nothing or someone else comes in and signs him, and we say stuff like “we were SO CONFIDENT”. The latter is more likely.
