Gerard Pique, a former player under both Pep Guardiola and Sir Alex Ferguson, shared his opinion on who he thinks is the better manager. Pique played under Ferguson at Manchester United for a short period, making 23 appearances, and then under Guardiola at Barcelona, featuring in 183 games. In a recent video interview, Pique stated that while he initially would have chosen Ferguson, he now believes Guardiola is the superior coach.

Ferguson had a successful 27-year stint at Manchester United, winning numerous titles including 13 Premier Leagues and two Champions Leagues. Guardiola, on the other hand, has achieved success in three of Europe’s top leagues, winning multiple league titles with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City. Guardiola’s recent accomplishments, including a treble and potentially a fourth consecutive Premier League trophy, showcase his coaching prowess.

Despite Ferguson’s impressive achievements at Manchester United, Pique’s preference for Guardiola is based on the latter’s success in different top leagues. Guardiola’s ability to consistently win titles across different countries makes him a more impressive and accomplished manager, according to Pique’s assessment.
