A date for Man City’s hearing into 115 alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules has now been set. But what is the exact nature of the charges?
The lengthy list of charges was announced by the Premier League in February, which caused mass reaction across world football.
In a statement, City denied any breaches and added that they ‘look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all’.
At a Select Committee hearing on Tuesday, Premier League chief Richard Masters confirmed that, almost 11 months after the charges were announced, a date had finally been set for City’s hearing.
He could not elaborate any further, but City’s Premier League rivals are at least one step closer to hearing an outcome to the case.
