Former Manchester City left-back Gael Clichy revealed that he realized he could not win the Premier League with Arsenal, leading to his move to City in 2011. He signed a four-year contract and was part of the historic City squad that won the title for the first time under Roberto Mancini.

Clichy explained that the competitive environment at City made it clear to him that achieving a Premier League title at Arsenal would be difficult. He described fierce competition with top players, intense training sessions, and a sense of building something great at City.

During his time at City, Clichy made over 200 appearances, won two Premier League titles, and worked under managers like Mancini and Pep Guardiola. Despite his successful stint at the Etihad Stadium, he left the club in 2017 for a new challenge in Turkish football.
