Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says supporters can “forget about” Everton taking points off Arsenal on the final day of the season.

The Gunners have to win if they are to secure the Premier League title ahead of City, and Guardiola doesn’t believe their title rivals will drop points. He even claims that City may have to fight through adversity to grab the victory they need against West Ham:

“We’d like to be 3-0 up after 10 minutes [vs West Ham] but it will not happen. I have a feeling it will be like Aston Villa [in 2022]. We are ready. If you think Everton are going to do something [against Arsenal], forget about it.”

That Villa game was dramatic. The Cityzens were 2-0 down after 69 minutes before the champions mounted an incredible comeback with goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Rodri. Fans would dearly like to avoid another game like that on Sunday.
