Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has given a glowing review of the club’s January signing Julian Alvarez ahead of his impending arrival to the Etihad Stadium in the summer.
The 22-year-old forward moved to Manchester City for a fee worth around £14.2m plus add-ons but will remain on loan with River Plate until July at the earliest.
Aguero and Alvarez have played together for the Argentine national team, and the City legend was full of praise for the youngster, who has taken South America by storm in recent months.
The Man City legend sent fans wild on social media following a clip that went viral that showed the five-time Premier League winner commentating on Alvarez’s opening goal in his treble against Patronato on Thursday evening.
Speaking recently on Argentine station Radio 10, Aguero said: “Julian Alvarez is going to learn a lot in England, he is very talented,” as translated and relayed by All About Argentina.
These Aguero’s comments on Julian Alvarez were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
