Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have made a transfer promise to Pep Guardiola and could make a move for AC Milan attacker Rafael Leao.
City are likely to have another busy summer transfer window in 2023, with the midfield department the obvious area for attention with the futures of Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva uncertain.
Rafael Leao, who continues to grab headlines amid an uncertain future at AC Milan, has been heavily linked with a move away from San Siro in recent months.
The 23-year-old electric winger, who is one of the most in-demand forwards in Europe right now, remains on the radars of top clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United.
According to Fichajes, Man City executives have promised Guardiola that they will target the AC Milan attacker next summer.
In recent weeks Guardiola agreed to a new two-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, and City’s hierarchy reportedly gave assurances that they will back him in the transfer market.
Guardiola is said to be keen on Portuguese winger Leao, who has enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign with reigning Italian champions Milan.
The report shared on Twitter attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
