Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano tops the list of Premier League executive director salaries, according to a new report.
Since moving to Manchester City, Soriano, who was Vice-Chairman and CEO at FC Barcelona from 2003 to 2008, has played a major role in the commercial and transfer market success of the club.
The club’s off-field commitments have seen a major upturn, as well as the success of the City Football Group as a global football business – a success which is often credited to the work of Soriano.
Even though not all Premier League teams disclose the salaries of their directors, Ferran Soriano’s ranking amongst his fellow senior officials at Premier League clubs has been detailed in a new report.
According to a new report by The Sports Journal, Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano has an annual pay packet at the club of £3.4m – placing him above his counterparts at Man Utd, Spurs, Newcastle Utd and Crystal Palace.
Annual executive staff pay at Manchester City is also stated to be £1.2 million, with their city rivals United coming in at a close second with £3.1 million for their directors and £1.2 million for executive staff.
