Manchester City seems to be finalizing their summer transfer business as they make a move for Ilkay Gundogan after learning that Barcelona was looking to offload him. Pep Guardiola personally contacted Gundogan, and the two were seen dining together, indicating that the deal is close to completion. City’s quick response may have been prompted by the limited time left in the transfer window. Meanwhile, Joao Cancelo’s future at the club remains uncertain, with Al Hilal submitting a bid for the player. If Cancelo joins Al Hilal, it would benefit all parties involved, allowing City to offload a player not in their plans and securing a permanent move for the Portuguese defender.
The negotiations between Al Hilal and Cancelo are underway, with the Saudi Pro League giants looking to sign him as their first-choice right-back. If Cancelo moves to Al Hilal, their current right-back Saud Abdulhamid could potentially join AS Roma. This move would benefit Manchester City, Al Hilal, and Cancelo himself, providing a solution that suits all parties involved. Guardiola seems to be making moves to finalize the squad before the end of the transfer window, ensuring that all potential deals and outgoings are addressed.
