Manchester City has seen several players from their youth academy depart the club in recent years, with names like Micah Hamilton, Liam Delap, and Tommy Doyle leaving the Etihad Stadium in the summer transfer window. One former academy player who may be making a return to England is Carlos Borges, now known as Carlos Forbs, who is being targeted by Wolves as a potential replacement for Pedro Neto. Borges, who scored 55 goals and provided 42 assists during his time at City’s academy, joined Ajax last summer but could now be set for a move back to England with Wolves to get his career back on track.

After a successful spell in City’s youth ranks, Borges struggled for game time at Ajax, only scoring three goals and providing five assists in his debut season. A move to Wolves could provide the 20-year-old winger with a fresh start and the opportunity to prove himself in English football once again. With Wolves exploring options in case of Neto’s departure to Chelsea, Borges, who has expressed admiration for Fernandinho at City, could be the player they turn to as they look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
