Everton are looking to sign Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips to replace Amadou Onana, who is likely to move to Aston Villa for £50 million due to financial problems at Goodison Park. Phillips, 28, has had limited playing time at City and wasn’t selected for the European Championship, but Everton are interested in bringing him to the club to fill the void left by Onana.

Despite only making six starts for Manchester City, Phillips was part of the squad that won the Premier League last season. Everton have expressed their interest in signing him but have not made a formal offer yet. Manager Sean Dyche is keen on helping Phillips revive his career after a challenging period at City, where he was out on loan to West Ham but returned due to injury.

While Everton are considering signing Phillips, he is expected to travel with Manchester City for their pre-season tour of the United States. It remains to be seen if a deal will be reached between the two clubs for the transfer of the England midfielder.
